Live, in person, but still starting a minute apart, the CRANDIC Time Trial Series presented by Steindler Orthopedic Clinic is back at Big Grove Solon. The "race of truth" is fast and fun, especially along Sutliff Road, one of the prettiest and most bike-friendly routes around. Choose from several categories. More on the TT Course
The turnaround itself is also marked in orange. Now just back the way you came.
The course begins and ends at the intersection of Sutliff Rd NE and 140th St NE. Start and finish are marked with double orange lines. At the start you are heading east. Get a running start at it, and go!
Four and a half miles later you'll see the first of two markings: "1/2 mile to turn." The second is "1/4 mile to turn." Those will give you time to check for traffic ahead and behind you. This is very important as there is no marshal there to warn you of approaching vehicles.
Park in Solon for a nice 4 mile warm up ride to the start. Or park at the Cedar River Landing area just east of Sutliff Bridge. That's right in the middle of the TT course, so 2.5 miles from the start.

"Breakaway" is a category without aero equipment. No aero bars or helmets, especially. Sometimes called Eddie Merckx, since when EM raced in the 60s and 70s they didn't have the aero equipment common today.
