Congrats to Sarah Barber for
2nd place at Trek's CX Cup!

"Getting on the Women’s Masters 55+ podium at Trek CXC was very rewarding for me. Firstly, and most importantly, because I am a real advocate for getting more category races for Women Masters. Typically, you see a 35+ category, sometimes a 45+ category, but almost never (unless at State or Nationals) a 55+ category. So high-fives to Trek for giving us 55+ racers our own category!

"Secondly, I was still in the final stages of recovering from a chest cold, so with all the coughing and congestion that comes along with that, finishing on the podium really gave me a pat on the back for hanging in there.

"I found the Trek course to be quite technical, but a lot of fun. Three flyovers really fatigued the leg muscles, but made for a much more varied and enjoyable 'route' around the Trek grounds.

"Now that I’m fully recovered from the cold (and the subsequent Jingle Cross mud) … here’s to the rest of the season!"
