I started running when I was 10 years old and have raced road and trails on and off ever since. I’m slower now, but running is still my first love.
I have commuted by bike since I was a kid, but I didn’t have the time or money to race bikes until my late 40’s. Since then I’ve tried almost every kind of bike race there is, and I dabble in triathlons and adventure races as well. Cyclocross is definitely my favorite because I love playing in the mud. We’ve also talked about getting some of our team members to bike camp with us this summer.
In addition to competing, I love to read, write, paint, and garden. Sometimes it’s hard to fit it all in.
It's important to me that our club is inclusive and supportive. I want to help as many people as possible get into the silent sports. I know what it’s like to start a new discipline at an older age, so I love to help others to learn new tricks as well.
